Angelina Jolie has turned down a second offer to star in Alfonso Cuarón’s sci-fi drama Gravity.

According to Deadline, the $80 million Warner Bros project is in danger of collapsing because the studio are unsure about which actress to cast in place of Jolie.

The previously rumoured Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively have been confirmed as potential replacements for Jolie, while Sandra Bullock, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts, Marion Cotillard, Carey Mulligan, Sienna Miller, Abbie Cornish, Rebecca Hall and Olivia Wilde have all screen tested or been approached.

Robert Downey Jr. is still attached to the project in a supporting role.

Gravity, which Cuarón co-wrote with his son Jonas, is set on a remote space station and centres on a female astronaut’s attempt to get home to her daughter after her crew is wiped out by falling debris.

The lead role is said to be similar to Tom Hanks’s in Cast Away, focusing on the same character for the majority of the movie.

Gravity is due to begin production next year after Downey Jr. finishes filming on Sherlock Holmes 2.

Sienna Miller, Lucy Punch, Ben Foster, Melanie Griffith and Gena Rowlands have joined the cast of director Nick Cassavetes’ Yellow, reports Production Weekly.

The drama is about a young woman with a drug habit and a myriad of other problems. Cassavetes co-wrote the film with his actress wife Heather Wahlquist, who is expected to star in the movie as well.

Cassavetes’ credits include John Q, The Notebook, Alpha Dog and My Sister’s Keeper.

The actress was in high spirits as she left a dinner date with boyfriend Jude Law and model Twiggy in London last night.
And being normally one to either scowl or turn her head away from the waiting cameras, the model didn’t seem to mind the attention from the flashbulbs last night.
She even let them take her picture as she gave Twiggy a hug as they left The Wolseley restaurant in Mayfair last night.

Sienna, 28, and actor boyfriend Jude Law, 37, had dined out with the M&S model and her husband Leigh Lawson.

And she was feeling very affectionate as she left as she put her arms around Twiggy, 60, and gave a friend who was dining with them a kiss as she and Law headed for their taxi.

They are due to start shooting the sequel to their hit film Sherlock Holmes in October, so it only makes sense that Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr get together to catch up and talk shop.
The stars met for dinner at J Sheekey in Covent Garden, and brought along their respective loves, Sienna Miller and Susan Levin.

The ladies didn’t mind tagging along to the upmarket seafood restaurant, especially as it was a regular haunt of Sienna’s back in 2005 when she starred in As You Like It at the nearby Wyndham’s Theatre.

The chic foursome all dressed up for the occasion. Sienna wore a simple black dress and bright pink lipstick, while Jude looked dapper in a grey suit. He appeared to be adopting the ‘ JLS Marvin Humes look’, with a very low cut white T-shirt.
