LIKE a now famous September Issue from across the pond, Sienna Miller beams from the cover of the October issue of Vogue; hair, skin, sequins and studs all golden.

On the very day we at Vogue gear up to celebrate the world’s biggest ever fashion party (read all about Fashion’s Night Out here), the magazine looks towards London Fashion Week, taking place next week. The history of London Fashion Week, written by those who were there, comes to vivid life – whilst the future of the event, including high profile returns by labels and designers like Burberry, Jonathan Saunders and Matthew Williamson, is contemplated in conversations with the designers.

Music – and its relationship with fashion in the past, present and future – is explored in a whimsical shoot with new pop princess Lady Gaga and a revealing interview with long-reigning king of the British live music scene, Mick Jagger.

British fashion, predictably, still takes centre stage as Mario Testino photographs the best of British; including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lily Donaldson in Westwood, Giles and McQueen. Meanwhile, Tim Walker captures the cream of British design talent as you don’t normally see them – and we see Sienna’s love affair with British fashion in pictures.
